important thing is that. here Shiva represented as vatsa or child of guhyakalika. and he is not in right as general. he is in left. devi not holding any weaponry. she is represented as adya.
Thank you so much for her dhyana. Do you have any mantra for her? Could you please tell me which book has this dhyana ? also where is this rare idol? Do you have any more info on Guhya kali? I am really interested in knowing this form of Kali. Any info on this is very helpful.
This is a clay idol made for Puja. i am attaching a picture from akalipur district birbhum of westbengal. this temple is very old. idol is big as human in black marble like stone. in her crown really thousand snake hoods are present. very detailed idol.
mantra according to vrihadtantrasara book is
om krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim guhye kalike krim krim krim hum hum hrim hrim swaha.
thanks
Thank you so much for posting this. It is really nice to see the devi in this form.
In this the devi is with alot of snakes. Can you please tell me what does that snake represent? Is it knowledge, kundalini shakti, moksha or anything else?
It is very hard to say. generally when one snake hood shows over crown it represent elevated kundalini. but this type of dhyana verse with complete set of snakes i don't know what does this represent. but i have entered into the main Puja place before this idol, really one will feel the vibration. people say that this idol belongs to mahiravana of patala loka. you will find information on internets. you write guhyakali akalipur. there will be some information. i have one book but not in English. i will try to post some information later.
