Steps/process for performing abhishekam at home

I would like to know the correct process for performing abhishekam at home. I do abhishekam to Shri Raghavendrar Swamy every Thursday. I chant his sloka &perform abhishekam with water & milk. Would like to know if there is a more correct process. Thank you.
